On February 1st of this year, KNC Laboratories Co., Ltd., marked the major milestone of its 40th anniversary. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our valued shareholders for your continued support and patronage.

Since the foundation of the company in 1985, we have made our contribution to the development of science and technology in society as a contract research and development company. To the best of our ability, we have supported a wide range of customer needs from research and development to the mass production stages by making full use of our specialized technologies of organic synthetic chemistry and biochemistry in the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and functional materials.

On the occasion of our 40th anniversary, I, as the representative director and president, am deeply aware of our origin as a company that delights in scientific discovery under the management philosophy set forth in Our Goals. For the past two years since taking office, I have led this wonderful company by utilizing the knowledge I gained from many years of field experience, and I have made every effort to contribute to our shareholders and to sustainably increase our corporate value in this rapidly changing business environment.

Taking this 40th anniversary of ours as a new starting point, we will launch a new medium-term management plan with which we will look ahead to the next 10 to 20 years. This plan will serve as a compass for company growth that will surely do what our shareholders expect us to do as an indispensable and reliable presence that is our goal. As a company-wide effort based on this plan, we will strive to tackle the important issues of strengthening sales capabilities, improving productivity, responding to changing customer needs, further accelerating R&D to commercialization, and increasing the probability of business performance.

Even under the circumstances of a rapidly changing world, we will lead our company to a stronger position by managing it with flexibility and creativity. We are committed to being strongly aware that our shareholders participate in the development of the company, and we will thoroughly implement management with an emphasis on transparency and fairness. We will also proactively promote sustainability management and ESG initiatives aimed at realizing a sustainable society and will continue to strive to create corporate value from a long-term perspective and promise to build strong partnerships with shareholders.

Furthermore, with the DNA of taking delight in scientific discovery in each employee, we will value the spirit of teamwork and cooperation and pursue contributions to society as a public institution. I believe that the growth and happiness of our employees are the sources of the company’s sustainable development.

Looking toward our 50th anniversary and the distant goal of our 100th anniversary, we intend to continue to take on new challenges through company-wide efforts to achieve the ideal form of the company.
